Public, group and private shows: what is the difference?
Updated:
Live cam sites usually have three kinds of shows. They differ in who can watch, who pays and how much say you have.
| Public | Group | Private | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who watches | everyone | only those who paid | only you (sometimes “spies” too) |
| Price | free | flat or per minute, shared by participants | per minute, the most expensive |
| Your say | tips and chat | medium | the most |
| For whom | to start, to look around | more for less | a one-to-one conversation |
Public show
The default stream that everyone can see, even without an account. The model talks to the chat and viewers tip. There is often a goal: when viewers collect enough tokens, the announced show starts for everyone.
Group show
Several viewers pay for a shared show. Because the cost is split, it is cheaper per person than private. It usually starts once enough people have joined.
Private show
You and the model, charged per minute. The model sets the price and you see it before starting. On some sites others can spy on your private show for a lower rate; check whether you can turn this off if full privacy matters to you.
Which one to choose?
- Just starting? Watch public shows, they are free.
- Want more for less? Wait for a group show or chip in to a goal.
- Want to talk? A private show, with a budget set in advance.
