How do tokens work on cam sites?
Updated:
Tokens are a virtual currency you pay with on a cam site. You buy them in advance in a pack and then spend them on tips, private shows and other extras. Watching public shows is free and needs no tokens.
Why tokens and not money?
- One payment, many small spends. You do not pay by card for every tip, you buy a pack once.
- Discretion. Your bank statement shows one transaction, not every chat.
- One currency for the whole world. Models and viewers come from many countries; tokens keep it simple.
What are tokens spent on?
| Spend | How it works |
|---|---|
| Tip | A one-off amount for the model. Many models have a “menu”: for a set number of tokens they do a request. |
| Goal | The model collects tokens for a shared goal; when viewers reach it, the announced show starts. |
| Private show | Charged per minute. The model sets the price and you see it before you start. |
| Group show | Several viewers pay together, so it is usually cheaper per person than private. |
| Spy mode | On some sites you can watch someone else's private show for a lower rate, without taking part. |
How much is a token?
It depends on the site and the pack size. The rule is almost always the same: the bigger the pack, the lower the price per token. Always check the current price on the site's purchase page before paying; it can vary by country, currency and promotions.
How not to overspend
- Set a monthly budget and buy only that many tokens.
- Check the per-minute price before a private show and do the maths: price × minutes.
- Switch off automatic top-ups if the site offers them.
- Never pay outside the site. Requests for bank transfers, gift cards or “direct” crypto are almost always scams.
Do tokens expire? Can I get a refund?
That depends on the site's terms. Bought tokens usually cannot be exchanged back into money. If something went wrong (for example a show was cut off), contact the site's support: some sites return tokens for failed shows.
Questions
Can I get tokens for free?
Sites sometimes give a few tokens to new users as a promotion. “Token generators” on the internet are scams.
Can the model see how many tokens I have?
Usually not; they only see the tips you give.
